This artwork is priced according to Artist Support Pledge. Matthew Burrows launched the Artist Support Pledge on Instagram to support artists throughout the pandemic. The idea is simple: artists who commit to the pledge will post images of a work that's for sale, for no more than £200 ($230), and each time their sales reach £1,000 ($1,155) they promise to buy another artist's work for £200.
Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. In the 20th century they were used for rough drawings by engineers, hence the term ‘Blueprint’. The process can be home-spun using a mixture of chemicals, good quality paper and exposure to sunlight.
When framing a cyanotype, museum standard UV glazing is recommended to properly protect your artwork.
